Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Mixed Critical Care Unit. This unit serves a diverse range of patients, including those with medical, cardiac, surgical, and neurological conditions without trauma cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and be able to float to various departments as needed.

Position Details

• Unit Size: 20 beds
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: As needed

Patient Cases

The unit sees a variety of cases, including but not limited to:

• Sepsis
• Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS)
• Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
• Multi-Organ Failure (MOF)
• Overdoses
• Opioid Use Disorder/Substance Use Disorder (OUD/SUD)
• Bone Marrow Transplant complications

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of ICU experience is preferred. Previous travel experience is also advantageous.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS are required; NIHSS certification is also expected.
• Specific Skills: While not mandatory, knowledge of TNK for stroke management, withdrawal management for OUD population, and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) care are beneficial.
• Helpful Equipment Experience: Familiarity with Belmont Rapid Transfuser, NX Stage CRRT, Arjo, and Stryker Altrix is a plus.
