Unit Specifics

• Scrub Color: Navy or white
• Staffing Description:
  • AM Shift: 10 RNs, 1 Supervisor, 1 PCT, 1 ICU Waiting Room HUC
  • PM Shift: 10 RNs, 1 Supervisor, 1 PCT, 1 ICU Waiting Room HUC
• Equipment: EVDs, Camino/bolts, wound vacs, Baxter IV pumps, GE Carescape bedside monitors, GE ventilators, iCool machines, Blanketrol blankets, Bair Hugger, Prisma Max CRRT, Zoll, Kangaroo feeding pumps, Alaris PCA pumps
• Documentation System: Cerner Power Chart
• Floating Policy: Travelers float before core staff to other ICUs or Step Down units

Schedule Requirements

Must work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule.

Qualifications

Must Have:

• Recent trauma ICU experience (at Level I or Level II Trauma Centers)
• Surgical ICU experience

Advanced Skills Preferred: Team players with flexibility and positive attitudes are highly sought after.

• Chest tube placement
• Central line placement
• A-line placement
• Foley placement
• Bronchoscopy
• Endoscopy
• Proning
• TPA administration
• Hypertonic medication administration
• Trach placement
• EVD/bolt placement
• CRRT/HD
• Irrigation and debridement
• Minor surgery

Certifications Required

• Valid Nursing License
• Active ACLS and BLS Certifications

Dress Code

Scrubs must be all navy or all white, or navy bottoms with a white top.

Work Environment

Modified self-scheduling is available for added flexibility.
