Job Description:

This position requires an experienced ICU RN capable of managing critical care patients. The nurse will work with common ICU cases such as sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, and MI in a 16-bed Medical ICU. The RN will also float to PCU and Medsurg as needed, with training provided.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patients with conditions such as DKA, STEMI, stroke, a-fib RVR, COVID, and more.
• Titrate drips including vasopressors and sedation medications.
• Collaborate with hospitalists and intensivists, especially in the absence of RT staff during specific hours.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience with skill in managing drips, vents, and bipaps.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS. PALS and TNCC are preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system.
• Must be able to read and verify tele strips despite centralized monitoring.
