ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The position involves working within a specialized unit that focuses on neurological intensive care.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 12
• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• Staffing Description: Unit secretaries and technicians available
• Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Scheduling Requirements: Self-scheduling based on unit needs; 6 weekend shifts per period
• Floating Policy: Travelers will float first to other ICUs or step-down units

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience:

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an ICU setting
• Advanced Skills: Experience in the care of neurology post-thrombectomy and TPA patients, as well as post-neurosurgery patients
• Procedures Performed on Unit: CRRT, bedside external ventricular drains (EVDs), A-line monitoring
