Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the ICU unit is responsible for providing care to critically ill patients. The role involves working in a medical ICU setting, managing common diagnoses such as sepsis, respiratory failure, strokes, and myocardial infarctions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care to patients in the ICU and maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3
• Administer and titrate drips including vasopressors and sedation
• Float to PCU and Medsurg as needed with appropriate training
• Coordinate with hospitalists and intensivists for comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience preferred
• Experience with drips, vents, and bipaps required
• Must hold active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• BSN not required, but license must be submitted
