Job Description:

RNs will provide care to ICU boarders that will be in the PACU unit. The expected patient population will be Trauma overflow however, previous trauma training is not required. RN may float to ED for ICU holds or to other ICU/Stepdown units based on need/census.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, implement, and evaluate care needed by assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician.
• Collaborate with the patient, patient’s family member(s)/significant others, professional peers and other members of the health care team to individualize patient care.
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to standards of nursing practice, administrative and departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• PA Registered Nurse License.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• 1 year experience in area of clinical specialty preferred.
