Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit will provide critical care to patients with a wide array of conditions, often requiring advanced life support systems. The role involves using specific medical equipment and adhering to the high standards of patient care typical in a Level 2 trauma center.

Responsibilities:

• Managing ventilators and interpreting arterial blood gases
• Titrating vasoactive drips and monitoring hemodynamic status
• Performing and assisting with intubations, central line placement, bronchs, bedside trach and peg tube placement
• Floating to Emergency Department and step-down units as needed

Requirements:

• Current RN License
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Advanced skills in vent management and ABG interpretation
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive drips
