Job Description:

The Registered Nurse – ICU will provide specialized care for complex ICU patients in a 39-bed unit divided into MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU pods. The RN will work 48 hours per week, managing a variety of patients including those with surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma conditions. Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Provide intensive nursing care to complex patients in the ICU.
• Manage patients with conditions such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, and post-surgical needs.
• Administer IV medications, manage ventilators, perform hemodynamic monitoring, and work effectively in a team setting.
• Participate in a shared weekend rotation schedule.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience excluding travel experience; 1.5 years with significant RN experience considered.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required.
• Comfortable working with Epic charting system and handling 48hr/week contract.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with completed nursing education approved by a board of nursing; licensed by South Dakota Board of Nursing.
• Strong skills in critical care, including experience with vasopressors, sedation, ventilators, and telemetry.
