Job Description:

The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing patient care in a mixed unit including MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU divided into pods. The role excludes floating into CVICU unless experienced in that specialty. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, excluding travel, and at least one prior travel assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the care of complex ICU patients with various diagnoses including ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, s/p cardiac cath, and multiple system trauma.
• Provide care utilizing skills in IV medications, hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator management, and telemetry.

Requirements:

• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of Nursing
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Epic experience and comfortability working a 48hr/week contract
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills in a fast-paced setting
• Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT is strongly preferred
