Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the ICU is responsible for providing high-quality care to complex ICU patients, including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients. They will work in a mixed ICU unit divided into pods and may need to float as required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care to complex ICU patients with conditions such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, s/p cardiac cath, post-surgical, and multiple system trauma.
• Manage patient care utilizing critical thinking and assessment skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize Epic charting system and manage ventilators, hemodynamic lines, and telemetry.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required.
• Experience with Epic charting system and IV medications including vasopressors and sedation.
• Nursing education program completion approved by the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
• Comfortable working a 48hr/week contract.
