Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the ICU will provide care for complex ICU patients including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases. This position requires monitoring patient diagnoses such as ARDS, MI, and trauma, and working with teams for efficient unit operations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for complex ICU patients
• Manage patient ratios of RN: 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3
• Administer IV medications and manage ventilators
• Float to Medsurg/Tele with 1:4 ratio if necessary
• Precept students as required

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications required
• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
• 2 years of ICU experience required
• Epic experience required
• Experience with cardiac, trauma, and ventilator management preferred
• Ability to work 48-hour weeks
