Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the ICU is responsible for providing direct patient care utilizing the nursing process. This position requires specialized skills to manage and care for patients with critical conditions including CHF, respiratory distress, and post-catheterization care.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and treat patients with chest tubes and wound vacs.
• Perform dressing changes and monitor femoral arterial sheaths.
• Administer drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, and heparin.
• Care for patients with a variety of conditions, including CHF, ACS, A-fib RVR, and postoperative care.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system.
• Floating required to Telemetry, Med-Surg, and Neurology-Medical units.
