Job Title: Registered Nurse ICU Mixed Acuity

Job Description:

This position involves working in a mixed acuity unit within the PCU, handling intermediate care patients as well as non-vented ICU level patients.

Responsibilities:

• Manage neurological and post-procedural patients including those with conditions such as post TNK, Neuro IR procedures, and post VP shunt placements.
• Handle patients with respiratory failure, CHF, hypotension, sepsis, AMS, acute neurological diagnosis, DKA, and electrolyte abnormalities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience required; will accept a first-time traveler with 2 years of ICU experience.
• Required licenses and certifications include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Skills include experience with bipap/cpap management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, CVP monitoring, monitoring hemodynamic lines, and managing post-surgical drains.
