Job Title: Registered Nurse – Home Health

City/State: Rapid City, South Dakota

Shift: Mon-Fri 08:00-16:30, every third weekend, up to one 12-hour on-call shift per week

Contract Length: 12 weeks

Start Date: 08/17/2026

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide home health and hospice care within a dual role, covering areas up to 80 miles outside of Rapid City, including Custer/Hill City and Hot Springs. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of 20-25 patients, with each RN seeing approximately 5-6 routine patients per day and performing about 2 admissions daily.

Requirements:

1.5 years of experience in home health and hospice
BLS Certification
Valid Driver’s License
Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of Nursing
Skills in Oasis, hospice philosophy, infection control practices, wound vacs, wound care, PICC line dressing changes, port access, IV infusions, drains, critical thinking, catheter insertion, and driving at night
