Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency nursing and be prepared to provide exemplary care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Float throughout designated locations within a 60-mile radius of the central city area as required.
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform various nursing procedures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in the orientation process and complete any necessary training.
  • Assist in triage and manage patient flow efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Strong communication skills and the capacity to work well under pressure.

Work Environment and Schedule

Candidates should be prepared to float to multiple locations within the zone, which includes hospitals and emergency departments in the following cities:

  • Denver, CO
  • Lakewood, CO
  • Longmont, CO
  • Westminster, CO

Shifts will be scheduled 4 to 6 weeks in advance with options for either single facility assignments or assignments communicated shortly before shift start.

Additional Information

  • RN must be proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips without on-site monitoring tech assistance.
  • Support staff available includes techs performing unit secretary duties and assisting nurses in various capacities.
  • Point of Care lab testing will be conducted by trained staff.
