Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse is tasked with ensuring comprehensive care for patients in the Emergency Department by employing the Nursing Process in adherence to the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The ideal candidate will utilize critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership capabilities to ensure the safe and effective delivery of care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in the Emergency Department, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment to anticipate patient needs and plan for care delivery.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care tasks based on the skills and experience of available personnel.
• Offer direction and supervision to assigned staff engaged in patient care activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Valid nursing license in the state.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Proficient in using Cerner EMR.

Work Environment

Candidates must be flexible and willing to float to various emergency departments and other healthcare facilities within the region as needed.
