Overview

The Emergency Department consists of 38 beds with three main areas: Rapid, Main, and a psych-safe area (POD 3). The unit is staffed with both day and night shift Registered Nurses to provide comprehensive care to patients in critical need.

Technology

The department utilizes Meditech for Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Requirements

Minimum of one year of nursing experience required.

  • Prioritizing Skills
  • Time Management Skills
  • De-escalation Course
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training – preferred
• Preferred Skills:
  • Effective Team Player

Procedures Performed

• Port Placement
• Chest Tube Insertion

Personality Fit

Ideal candidates should be patient-focused, detail-oriented, and possess a positive attitude. A willingness to be coached and to work collaboratively with team members is essential.

Work Schedule

Weekends and holidays are required: four weekend shifts and two Friday shifts minimum within a four-week schedule, including two major holidays and two minor holidays.

Dress Code

Scrubs should be navy blue.

Floating Areas

The position may require floating to multiple locations within the region as needed.
