Job Description:

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room located in Asheville, North Carolina. The RN will be part of the medical team providing care to patients in a high-volume emergency department.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with patient, family, and members of the healthcare team.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience as a nurse with at least 1-year of experience in an ER setting.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification before the start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification before the start date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification before the start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification before the start date.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification before the start date.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification before the start date.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 90 days of hire.
