Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position. This role involves direct patient care in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.

Shift Information

• Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN Licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and state laws.
• Document patient care and interactions in line with established standards.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, plan care interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Develop, implement, and execute individualized patient care plans, including education for patients and families.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives, including shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support the patient’s longitudinal care plan.
• Exercise critical thinking to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, appropriately escalating issues as needed.
• Engage in professional nursing activities, including peer review processes and unit practice decision-making.
