Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team in City, State. Our facility is equipped with 19 beds, including 3 trauma bays, and provides care to a diverse patient population of 70-95 per day. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in the Emergency Department, including triage and treatment of various diagnoses such as cardiac, gastrointestinal, psychiatric, and respiratory illnesses.
• Work collaboratively with a team of ED physicians and mid-level providers, including 1 ED physician and 2 mid-level practitioners.
• Responsible for managing ER holds in conjunction with ER nursing staff.
• Utilize the electronic medical record system (Paragon) to maintain accurate patient information.
• Perform nursing duties accurately and efficiently, including phlebotomy and patient assessments.
• Provide oversight and support in utilizing respiratory therapy equipment, including administering breathing treatments, performing ABGs, and managing ventilatory support as needed.
• Maintain compliance with required certifications, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.

Working Conditions

• Shifts available: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 3p-3a, and 5p-5a.
• Weekend requirement is every other weekend, and holidays will be assigned on an A & B rotation.
• Floating requirements do not apply, and there is no call or standby requirement.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a valid nursing license.
• Must hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
• Experience in managing emergency situations and providing critical care.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with diverse patient needs.
