Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

This position is for an experienced Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) in a high-volume adult emergency setting. The facility handles over 100,000 annual patient visits and is recognized as a leading trauma center in the region.

Job Duties

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department.
• Support and manage a diverse patient population, including those requiring advanced trauma care.
• Assist in the treatment and management of border patients.

Work Schedule

This role involves rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities based on unit needs.

Job Requirements

• Active RN License in New York.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the Emergency Department.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Must have prior travel experience in the Emergency Department.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
