Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in emergency nursing and possess the necessary certifications to provide high-quality patient care.

Shift Information

• Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Weekend and Holiday Rotation Required

Certifications/Requirements

• Active Illinois RN Licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• EITHER TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) OR TNS (Trauma Nurse Specialist)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide care for patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques and policies.
• Document patient care and assessments in accordance with standards of care.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations of care.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and clinic policies, including education for patients and families.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and shared governance within the department or unit.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support the longitudinal plan of care for patients.
• Employ critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Engage in professional nursing activities and peer review processes to enhance practice standards.

Additional Information

The RN may be required to float to other healthcare facilities within the region as needed.
