A challenging and rewarding opportunity has become available for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER) department. We are seeking motivated candidates to join our team on a night shift schedule.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medication and treatments as needed.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop patient care plans.
• Perform triage duties and manage multiple patient priorities effectively.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding care plans and discharge processes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health record systems.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols within the unit.

Work Environment

The ER department is a Level III trauma center providing services for STEMI and Stroke patients. It includes:

• 18 beds including 4 critical care trauma rooms.
• A fast-track area for patients with non-emergency conditions.
• A separate Triage area where travelers are allowed to participate.
• Security personnel available 24/7 for patient and staff safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS.
• Epic experience is mandatory due to an upcoming EPIC conversion.
• Ability to work weekends and every other holiday as part of the staff rotation.

Additional Information

The Registered Nurse will work 12-hour night shifts, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Nurses may need to float within the unit based on patient care requirements and will not be responsible for setting up placements for psych patients, as this will be managed by designated staff.
