Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This role requires a strong background in emergency care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Call Requirements: Yes

Unit Highlights

• Unit: Emergency Room (ER)
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Floating Policy: As needed

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience, with at least 2 years of specialty experience in the emergency room.
• Certifications:
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification (NIHSS) – REQUIRED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – REQUIRED
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – REQUIRED
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – REQUIRED
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – REQUIRED
• Preferred Experience: Familiarity with the Meditech documentation system is preferred.

Licensing

All candidates must possess an active RN license. Please note that temporary licenses will not be accepted.

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Nail Policy: Clean and healthy; no artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails.
• Hair Policy: Hair should be neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors. Hair must be tied back if shoulder length or longer.
• Tattoo Policy: Body art should be covered whenever possible. Uncovered tattoos will be addressed individually.
• Piercing Policy: Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited, including nose rings and tongue rings.

Unit Guidelines and Policies

• Floating Guidelines: Floating as needed within the department.
• Attendance Policies: Standard attendance policies will be observed.
