  • Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1, with higher ratios for specific behavioral health situations
  • Unit Staffing: Includes techs for cardiac monitoring, triage, and clerical support available day and night
  • Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
  • Documentation System: Cerner

Position Requirements

  • 2 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 1 year in an emergency department setting
  • Experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center preferred
  • Ability to work flexibly across all areas of the Emergency Department
  • Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to communicate effectively and provide feedback in real-time

Certifications Required

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training before start date
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)

Scheduling Details

The position requires availability for every other weekend, with scheduling designed to meet departmental needs. Flexibility to accommodate department requirements is essential.
