Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Department (ED) float pool. This position primarily involves caring for border patients within a high-volume ED environment but may also require floating to acute care units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Manage and prioritize care for patients, including those in medical/surgical, stepdown, and ICU settings.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Perform assessments and document patient progress in accordance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 1 trauma facility.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications are required.
• Strong clinical and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt to varying patient needs and float to different units as necessary.
