Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (RN)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department float pool. This position primarily involves managing a very busy Emergency Department, with responsibilities that include caring for boarder patients from various units including Med/Surg, Stepdown, and ICU. Flexibility is essential, as there may be occasions where you are required to float to an acute unit as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Assess and monitor patients, ensuring their needs are met during their stay.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver effective patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Document all patient care activities and ensure accurate reporting of patient conditions.
- Participate in ongoing education and training initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar-sized Level 1 trauma facility.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and TNCC are required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in emergency nursing practices and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
