Job Description:

The RN in the Emergency Room provides critical care to patients in a Level I Trauma Center setting, addressing common diagnoses such as trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, and strokes. RNs are responsible for reading and interpreting telemetry strips and must adapt to varying shifts and float to different units as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a Level I Trauma Center.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Float to OBS unit and Freestanding Creighton ER once a week.
• Participate in required orientations and pass exams with a minimum score of 90%.

Requirements:

• Current RN license and ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC certifications.
• Recent experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers.
• Driver’s license required at submission for location verification.
• Adherence to fingernail policy; artificial nails prohibited.
