• Patient Ratios: 4:1

General Information

This Emergency Department is staffed with dedicated professionals who provide high-quality medical care in a fast-paced environment. The team primarily consists of RNs and support staff committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Typical Shift Composition

• Day Shift: 5-7 RNs, 1 ER Tech, 1 Unit Secretary
• Night Shift: 5-6 RNs, 1 ER Tech, 1 Unit Secretary

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• At least 2 years of Emergency Department experience as a Registered Nurse
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ENPC or PALS, CPI, TNCC

Preferred qualifications include:

• Strong knowledge in Neuro and Cardiac care
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

Typical Procedures Performed

• STEMI care
• Stroke/Tissue Plasminogen Activator (TPA) administration
• Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI)

Dress Code

Staff are encouraged to wear scrub colors of royal blue, though this is not a strict requirement. Competitors’ emblems are not permitted.

Awards and Recognition

• Achieved a 12-minute door-to-needle time for TPA administration
• Recognized for the fastest bed assignment to patient time in the Gulf Coast Division
