Emergency Room Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

An Emergency Room Nurse (RN) is needed to join our dynamic emergency department team. The role is primarily focused on delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department ensuring the highest quality of nursing practices.
• Assess patients’ conditions accurately and promptly, documenting all findings and interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to formulate and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for adverse reactions and effectiveness.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment, following infection control procedures and protocols.
• Assist with emergency procedures and interventions, as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC.
• Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in an emergency department setting is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations and make quick decisions.

Schedule and Patient Volume

The position is for night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. The emergency department typically handles a patient volume of approximately 20-30 patients every 24 hours, with 7 ER beds and 1 additional hall bed available.

Staffing Information

The nurse will generally be the second nurse on duty, depending on the block schedule and staffing needs.

Uniform Requirements

Solid blue or solid black scrubs are required for this position.
