Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room (ER) team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both ER and Medsurg settings.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Emergency Room (ER)
• Trauma Level: Trauma Level IV
• STEMI Receiving: Yes
• Stroke Center: Yes
• Number of Beds/Trauma Bays: 4 beds and 2 trauma bays

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room and Medsurg settings.
• Collaborate effectively with the medical team and support staff.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergencies.
• Conduct assessments and develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Perform procedures as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Shifts & Schedule

• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Rotation: Day/Night rotating schedule (7a-7p, 7p-7a)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: Yes, as per the schedule

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an emergency room setting with previous Medsurg experience.
• Certifications:
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification
  • NIHSS Certification
  • TNCC Certification
  • PALS Certification (preferred)

Additional Information

• Patient Volume: Average of 10 patients treated in the ER per day.
• Orientation: Comprehensive unit-specific orientation provided.
• Dressing Code: Navy blue scrubs.
