Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The role involves utilizing critical thinking skills to assess patient conditions, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor patient progress, and document relevant observations. The Registered Nurse is responsible for delegating appropriate patient care tasks to other staff members and functioning collaboratively as part of a team to achieve unit goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or the willingness to obtain one within five years of employment
• Current state of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• At least two years of experience in an Emergency Room (ER), Emergency Department (ED), or Trauma unit
• Current ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certification or the ability to obtain these within three months
• TNCC certification is a plus
