Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses to provide high-quality care in a busy emergency department.

Position Overview

• Location: City, State
• Unit: 34-bed Emergency Department, Level 2 Trauma Center
• Shift: Either 7 AM or 11 AM start time
• Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Weekend Rotation: Required
• Holiday Rotation: Required
• Floating: To be determined

Responsibilities

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing medical emergencies. Duties include:

• Assessing patient conditions and needs
• Performing clinical procedures and interventions
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilizing Epic or similar EMR systems for documentation and patient management

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Kansas or a multistate license
• Minimum of 2 years of strong emergency room experience; 4 years preferred
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and either MOAB or CPI
• All certifications must be accredited through the American Heart Association (AHA) where applicable
• No prior hits on license or backgrounds
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

RTO (Request for Time Off) must be kept to a maximum of 5 days during the assignment, with only one holiday request allowed. A 3-strike call-in policy is in effect for all healthcare personnel.
