Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Nursing)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. This critical role requires expertise in providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a diverse patient population, including pediatrics, and possess strong clinical and communication skills.

Unit Information

• Unit: Emergency Department
• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Patients Treated: Newborns, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatrics
• Number of Beds: 64 beds (including 2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, 6 psych)
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
• Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department with pediatric experience preferred.
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• Valid NY nursing license and all other active RN licenses.
• Successful completion of a skills checklist matching Emergency Department specialties.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to float to different areas within the unit as needed.
• Charge capability is highly preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an address matching demographics.
