Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is a vital member of the patient care team responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in assigned areas. The RN will assess patients upon admission, utilizing appropriate interview techniques to gather past medical history, current medical status, vital signs, laboratory results, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests. They will also be involved in planning and implementing a written care plan under the direction of a Physician.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
• Active New Hampshire Registered Nurse License required or eligibility to obtain one
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

• Assessment: Capable of performing standard assessments using basic medical equipment.
• Medication Administration: Requires visual acuity and hand-eye coordination.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New Hampshire Registered Nurse License or eligibility to obtain.
• Clinical experience preferred.
• Membership in a professional nursing organization is preferred.
• Certification in specialty areas is preferred.

Shift Information:

• 3 x 12 Mid/Evening Shift 9a-9p
• Holiday coverage required
