Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department provides care to patients with multi-system trauma, STEMI, stroke, CHF, COPD, GI, GU, OB/GYN, pediatrics, and psychiatric emergencies. The RN is responsible for direct patient care, maintaining records, and communicating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate and updated patient records.
• Utilize critical care skills for trauma and emergency cases.

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, Secure/CPI, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required.
• Experience with Cerner or EPIC EMR systems.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience, with recent Level II Trauma or higher experience.
• Proficiency in trach care, vent care, ICU drip care and maintenance, chest tube, art line, CVL, picc, midline, port, and foley care.
• Ability to apply and care for splints/Ortho devices, and conduct continuous bladder irrigation.
