Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is responsible for providing care in a 29-bed Emergency Department, serving the southern half of Johnson County. The department is a chest pain and primary stroke center, handling daily volumes of around 120 patients. The role requires managing inpatient boarders, adaptability to rapidly changing conditions, and maintaining a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

Provide patient care in the Emergency Department
Manage inpatient boarders
Adapt to rapidly changing conditions
Work up to 3 weekend nights (Fri/Sat/Sun) per pay period

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of experience in the ED within the last 12 months
KS or Multi State RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS & Conscious Sedation Competency
Preferred: 2 years of ED experience and TNCC certification
