Job Description:

The RN in the EP Lab is responsible for patient assessment and preparation, procedure support, post-procedure care, documentation, emergency response, and interdisciplinary collaboration in a cath lab setting. This includes working with critically ill patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral procedures.

Responsibilities:

Perform pre-procedure assessments, educate patients, and obtain informed consent.
Administer moderate sedation, maintain a sterile field, and assist with catheter insertion.
Monitor cardiac rhythm, hemodynamics, and patient status during procedures.
Provide recovery care, monitor for complications, and coordinate discharge planning.
Chart assessments, medications, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR.
Respond to code situations and coordinate with medical staff for optimal patient care.

Requirements:

Comfort with critically ill patients and experience with peripheral & coronary circulation.
BLS and ACLS certification required.
Experience with the Merge Hemo system and Cerner EMR is a bonus.
