Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Case Management

Unit Information

Department: Case Management and Social Work

• Number of Beds: Coverage for the entire hospital
• Staffing: 22 staff members
• Day Shift: 10 Case Managers, 3 Social Workers, 2 Case Management Assistants, 1 Manager, 1 Director
• Night Shift: No night shift coverage
• Patient Ratios: 20-25 patients per RN, 50 patients per Social Worker
• Equipment: Computer, phone, etc.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech/Meditech Expanse starting 8/13

Job Overview

This position involves case management within a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities include discharge planning and utilizing Interqual criteria to determine patient status.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with 2 years of hospital case management experience

Preferred Skills:

• Additional hospital case management experience

Personality Attributes

The ideal candidate will be flexible and comfortable asking questions to support patient care and effective case management.

Required Certifications

• Must hold an active RN license

Floating Areas

May be required to float to any medical-surgical or ICU unit if needed.

Dress Code

Business casual attire is required. Scrubs are not permitted, but a plain white lab coat may be worn if owned.

Weekends and On-Call Requirements

No weekend work is required for this position.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a daytime schedule of 8 AM to 5 PM for a duration of 13 weeks.
