Job Description:

Seeking a Registered Nurse with expertise in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) to join the high-acuity team. The unit is known for its skilled staff, providing excellent care to cardiovascular patients. Registered Nurses are expected to work closely with a team of experienced professionals and an ECMO team, handling advanced cardiovascular procedures and devices.

Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care to CVICU/CVRU patients with a focus on surgical heart care.
• Perform typical cardiovascular procedures including IABP, IMPELLA, and Hemodynamics.
• Facilitate frequent patient ambulation and manage intubation/extubation processes.
• Maintain care for LVADS with team support, and handle pulling chest tubes and pacer wires.
• Float to all ICUs and Stepdown areas as needed.

Requirements:

• BLS/ACLS Certification
• Critical Care training with 2 years of CVICU or CVRU experience
• Certification in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery, or Recovery Room care (preferred)
• High energy and friendly demeanor with a passion for critical care and life-long learning
