CVICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Cardiac/Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in critical care and will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.

Shift Details

• 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 3 shifts per week
• Weekend shifts: Minimum of 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona Nursing License
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care environment

Key Skills and Experience

• Cardiac/ICU experience essential
• Proficiency with ventilators and vasoactive drips
• Preferred experience with open heart procedures, balloon pumps, and CRRT

Typical Procedures Performed

• Post CABG
• STEMI management
• Vascular procedures

Unit Information

• Number of beds: 15
• Patient-to-nurse ratio: 2:1
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Any solid color, no specific preference

Additional Requirements

Candidates must be willing to float to other units, including Medical ICU and Progressive Care Unit, as needed.
