Registered Nurse (RN) / CVICU

Position Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with cardiac conditions and will work within a team-oriented environment.

Working Conditions

• Schedule: Day shift, 3/12’s
• Weekend Requirement: Six weekend shifts every six weeks (Saturday/Sunday)
• Patient Ratios: 2:1
• Number of Beds: 15
• EMR System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Any solid color, no preference

Key Responsibilities

• Administer comprehensive nursing care to patients within the CVICU.
• Monitor and manage patients on ventilators and vasoactive drips.
• Perform post-operative care for patients who have undergone cardiac procedures, including CABG and STEMI interventions.
• Float to other units as required, including Medical ICU and Progressive Care Unit, to support nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Arizona nursing license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience in an ICU or cardiac care setting.
• Experience with ventilators and vasoactive drips is mandatory.
• Preferred: Experience with open heart procedures, balloon pumps, and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).
