Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral cases. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment providing high-quality patient care.

• Coronary artery disease
• STEMI
• Cardiogenic shock
• Complex total occlusions
• Diagnostic catheter procedures
• Valvular disease
• Renal disease
• Carotid stenosis
• Limb salvage
• Peripheral stenosis
• Thrombosis disease
• Impella insertion
• LVAD insertions

Patient Ratios

RN to Patient Ratio: 1:1

Required Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN): BLS, ACLS
• Cath Lab Tech: BLS, ACLS, RT or equivalent, or RCIS

Required Education

• Registered Nurse: Completion of a nursing education program approved by a Board of Nursing
• Cath Lab Tech: AA/AAS Degree

For Registered Nurses:

• Critical patient assessment skills
• Vasoactive and sedation drug administration
• Sterile technique
• Air management
• Laser and lithotripsy atherectomy skills
• Cardiac cath lab and peripheral IV skills

Devices Used

• IABP
• Impella
• Rotoblator
• Penumbra

Orientation & Schedule

• Orientation: 4 days (10-hour shifts)
• Weekend Rotation: Every 4 weekends
• On-Call Expectation: 1-2 days per week and every 4th weekend
• Holiday Expectations: Possible, one per assignment

Charting System

• EPIC (required)
• Epic Cupid (preferred)
• Alaris Omnicell

Support on the Unit

• CNA: Not applicable
• Charge Nurse: Monday-Friday, 0600-1630
• Phlebotomy: Not applicable
• IV/VAT Team: Not applicable
