Job Description:

The RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab specializes in diagnostic and interventional cardiology, cardiovascular, and interventional radiology procedures. The role involves the appropriate application of specialized skills for patients undergoing angiography procedures, cardiac cath procedures, pacemakers, and IABP insertion as well as hemodynamic monitoring. The RN maintains a basic understanding of radiology equipment and image processing.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate basic knowledge of diagnostic and interventional cardiology, cardiovascular, and interventional radiology procedures.
• Apply specialized skills for patients undergoing procedures such as angiography, cardiac catheterization, pacemakers, and IABP insertion.
• Maintain understanding of radiology equipment, image processing, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Participate in call duties 1-2 days per week, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an interventional cath lab.
• Certification: BLS
