Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team. This position involves providing care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures, with a focus on ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout their treatment.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Number of Cath Labs: 4 (primarily running 3 rooms at a time)
• Typical Daily Cases: 5-15 cases
• Electrophysiology Cases: Includes ICDs, Pacemakers, Ablations (A-Flutter, SVT, A-Fib)
• Peripheral and Neuro Cases: Performed within the unit

Responsibilities

• Circulate and monitor cases as the Registered Nurse.
• Ensure effective patient care during cardiac procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Scrub Techs and monitoring staff.
• Utilize the GE MacLab/Combo Lab Hemodynamic Monitoring System for case monitoring.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or similar setting.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.

Schedule & Orientation

The Registered Nurse will work 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, starting between 6:00 AM and 6:30 AM. The position includes an on-call requirement of approximately 10-11 days per month, which may include working on weekends.

Orientation lasts for three days, after which the nurse should be capable of independently managing cases by the end of the week, with gradual introduction to call requirements.

Location

This position covers multiple locations within the Bryan and College Station, TX area.
