Registered Nurse – Bone Marrow Transplant

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with expertise in Bone Marrow Transplant for a challenging and rewarding position. This role involves providing exceptional patient care in an inpatient isolation unit, delivering intermediate-level nursing services for patients undergoing cell therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy treatments, and blood product transfusions.

Schedule

This position features a varied schedule, primarily consisting of night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and other therapeutic interventions.
• Provide care for patients undergoing bone marrow and cell transplants.
• Conduct blood product transfusions and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain low nurse-to-patient ratios to ensure high-quality care.
• Work within an isolation unit to manage and support patients effectively.
• Utilize Cerner for patient documentation and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in Bone Marrow Transplant or a related specialty.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
• Certification in chemotherapy administration and NIHSS are preferred.
