Speech Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Speech Therapist to join our team. This position involves both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, depending on the needs of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and assessments for patients requiring speech therapy.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide therapy for patients with communication disorders, including those related to swallowing difficulties.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
• Document patient progress using Cerner EMR system.

Schedule

• 8-hour shifts, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Weekend work required, either Saturday or Sunday.
• Participation in holiday rotations is expected.

Work Environment

The Speech Therapist will work across various settings including:

• Inpatient care, focusing on general rehabilitation, ortho, and sub-acute care.
• Outpatient therapy at designated locations, addressing a range of specialties, including orthopedic and neurological disorders.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current certification as a Clinical Competence Certificate in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience with swallow studies preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Information

Uniforms are provided, consisting of a polo shirt with appropriate khakis or black pants. Orientation for the position will be three shifts long, ensuring seamless integration into the team.
