X-ray Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible X-ray Technician to join our team. As a vital member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Schedule

This position requires availability on a variable schedule, including the following days and times:

• Monday: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
• Friday: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
• 36 hours with variable weekends
• Holiday and call coverage as needed

Flexibility is required, as scheduling will be based on department needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or appropriate military training
• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution

Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting is required.

Licensure and Certification

• Currently registered as R.T.(R)(ARRT) or registry-eligible with R.T.(R)(ARRT) within 6 months of hire
• Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required

Skills

• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Proficiency in using computer systems, including PACS and HIS/RIS
• Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality of patient information
