Job Description

This position requires a dedicated Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases. The successful candidate will utilize core values of compassion and excellence to provide the highest level of care to patients.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures and document patient clinical history and technologist impressions.
• Assist the cardiologist with obtaining images and operating equipment during transesophageal echocardiography.
• Participate in the training and instruction of cardiac ultrasound students and Cardiology Fellows.
• Perform pediatric echocardiography if qualified.
• Demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to provide appropriate care for patients of all ages, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Graduate of a medical diagnostic ultrasound program or equivalent training.
• New graduates must be registry-eligible and are required to sit for the registry exam within the first year of employment to obtain RDCS/RCS certification.
• CPR certification required.

Schedule Details

This position offers 32 hours of work over two weeks with shift times primarily on weekends. The successful applicant may rotate covering off-hours and weekend shifts.
