MRI Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology and possess certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a preferred qualification. Candidates should be adept in operating MRI machines efficiently while ensuring patient comfort throughout the scanning procedure. Coordination with physicians to deliver timely results is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods are also required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging services.
• Prepare patients for scans, explaining procedures to enhance their comfort.
• Document all procedures while upholding patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in MRI technology.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required.
• Experience operating GE or Siemens MRI scanners is mandatory.
• Certification through the ARRT or a similar organization is preferred; candidates must be willing to obtain this certification after starting.
• Familiarity with non-contrast exams, routine musculoskeletal, neuro, spine, and occasional body MRI procedures is expected.

Schedule

The position requires full-time availability for the first two weeks for orientation, followed by a standard schedule of four 10-hour shifts, from Tuesday to Friday, 11:30 AM to 10 PM. Flexibility to work day and evening hours may be needed during the orientation period.
